Every ingredient is chosen for what it does - not how it sounds.

• Kawakawa Infused Oil: A native NZ botanical used in rongoā Māori for centuries for skin conditions and inflammation. Contains over 60 active compounds including pellitorine - an analgesic compound - and myristicin, which supports the body's anti-inflammatory response. One of our favourite NZ botanicals for sensitive skin.

• Lavender Essential Oil: One of the most well-researched botanicals for relaxation and skin comfort. The scent of lavender has been shown to support a calming sensory experience - making it a fitting companion for an evening wind-down routine. Also gentle on sensitive skin when used at appropriate levels.

• Calendula Oil: A gentle, skin-soothing botanical known for its calming properties. Particularly well-suited to sensitive and reactive skin - adds an extra layer of comfort to the formula.

• Arnica Oil: A flowering herb with a long history of traditional use for skin comfort and recovery. Contains helenalin - a compound with anti-inflammatory properties - traditionally used to support stressed or fragile skin areas.

• Shea Butter: Deeply nourishing and conditioning. Gives the balm its rich, protective texture and helps the skin retain moisture while you sleep.

How to use

  • Yes - sensitive skin is our starting point for every Finishya formula. The Green Balm is made with gentle, plant-based ingredients including kawakawa, which has a long history of use on sensitive and reactive skin. It does contain lavender essential oil, so if your skin is particularly reactive we'd recommend patch testing on a small area first.
  • Yes - many people apply a small amount to dry facial patches or as an overnight treatment for stressed skin. Because it's a concentrated balm, use sparingly on the face and warm between fingertips before dabbing on. Patch test first if your facial skin is particularly reactive.
