Products & Ingredients

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. Every Finishya product is thoughtfully formulated with sensitive skin in mind. We focus on gentle, well-balanced ingredients that support the skin barrier while still feeling enjoyable to use.

Are your products natural?

We don’t formulate around the idea of “natural.” Instead, we choose ingredients based on how they perform and how skin responds to them. Gentle doesn’t always mean natural, and what matters most to us is safety, comfort, and effectiveness for sensitive skin.

Are Finishya products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. All Finishya products are vegan and cruelty-free. We never test on animals and never use animal-derived ingredients.

Do you use essential oils?

Some products may contain carefully selected essential oils at low, considered levels. We are always mindful of potential sensitivities and formulate accordingly. Full ingredient lists are available on each product page.

Where are your products made?

All Finishya products are handcrafted in Dunedin, New Zealand, in small batches to ensure quality and consistency

Sensitive Skin

What if my skin reacts easily?

Sensitive skin is exactly who we formulate for. That said, everyone’s skin is different. We recommend patch testing before full use, especially if you know your skin reacts easily.

Are your products fragrance-free?

No. We believe skincare for sensitive skin doesn’t need to be unscented to be gentle. Our fragrances are chosen carefully to be soft, balanced, and considered, never overpowering.

Fragrance

What’s the difference between Eau de Parfum and perfume oil?

Eau de Parfum offers more projection and longevity, while perfume oils sit closer to the skin for a softer, more intimate scent experience. Both are thoughtfully crafted, it simply comes down to personal preference.

Are your fragrances suitable for sensitive skin?

Our fragrances are created with sensitivity in mind, but fragrance is personal. We recommend patch testing, especially if you are fragrance-sensitive.

Workshops

Do you offer perfume-making workshops?

Yes. We run perfume-making workshops where you can create your own custom scent. These are held in GUILD Dunedin and are a hands-on, guided experience.

Do I need any experience to attend a workshop?

No experience is needed. Workshops are designed to be welcoming, creative, and beginner-friendly.

Orders & Shipping

Do you ship across New Zealand?

Yes. We ship nationwide across New Zealand. Shipping options and rates are shown at checkout. Free standard shipping is available on NZ orders over $75.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we only ship within New Zealand.

How long will my order take to ship?

Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link to follow its delivery. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and whether your address is urban or rural.

Returns & Care

Do you accept returns?

Because our products are personal care items, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or scent preference, for hygiene and safety reasons.

What if my order arrives damaged or faulty?

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order details. We’ll assess the issue and help resolve it.

What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?

All ingredients are clearly listed on each product page and label. We recommend reviewing ingredients carefully and patch testing before use, especially if you have sensitive skin or known allergies.

Do NZ consumer rights apply?

Yes. This policy does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

How should I store my products?

Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For best results, use within the recommended period after opening.
